Hey Julian, will these batteries charge in a parkside charger if you take the cap of like you did when you put it inside the drill? Reason i ask is because i bought a Workpro cordless ratchet that looks similar to the parkside batteries and find it very difficult to find replacement batteries/ chargers online, so would like to buy parkside batteries and chargers for it.

    Hope you can help, thanks!

Still getting 3x 18650's (1.3Ah ones) for a mere 1 pound (or 1.8 dollars Australian from where I am from) is pretty amazing.
I can't get anything like this in my country, the cheapest I can find something like this from a store or online based store in Australia is like 13-14 dollars.
I searched online, but I can't find these batteries for sale either. You got lucky, you seem to get really good deals a lot.

I'm jealous. We don't have any of these cool stores in the US with super cheap gadgets with components worth salvaging. At best you can get a portable fan with a wonky DC motor you can salvage, or maybe something with 5 cents worth of LEDs for $1. Even our Aldi doesn't sell the cool stuff, just groceries -_- They are just about finished building the first Lidl in my area though, so here's hoping they will at least sell some of the cheap drill batteries or something interesting there

I bet the electronic circuit / PCB in this Wickes and Parkerside, are absolutely identical.

You didn't mention the resistor pair was "Bodged". In the US, we say they are "crooked" or "not aligned". ๐Ÿ™‚ You know we love you, Julian!! Your videos are always great, interesting, and somewhat "dodgy". Not really. Cheerio! ๐Ÿ™‚

Nice find Julian, managed to get the last 4 of the 10.8v drill battery packs. Click & Collect saved the day at the Bournemouth Wicks. Have broken them up into individual cells. On checking the battery voltages, the cells seemed well balanced.

Julian, I could hug you for making this video! My ex partner bought me a Wickes electric drill for ยฃ39.99 a couple of years ago. I wanted a spare battery for it (It only came with one. Even Aldi drills come with two…) and was quoted ยฃ52, ยฃ12 more than the drill which comes with a battery! Anyway, went online and see the local Wickes has two in stock and called them to hold them for me. They could only find one, which is all I really needed but at ยฃ1… Took them some time to let me have it for a pound because they were thinking it was some kind of error but I have it now, all charged and ready to go. Now I need to find something to drill… Anyway, thanks for this video, and all the others of course ๐Ÿ™‚

I got a couple similar 10.8V packs from a local clearance store for about ยฃ4 a piece, with the only intention of stripping them down for making a battery pack with, wish I'd gotten more to be honest!!! ๐Ÿ˜›

3D printer will cover the battery easily enough and in any colour you want.

Holy crap I just bought 50 18v from Winchester ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
