Re: "Why don't they specify that range", it's probably because they don't know that people are interested in knowing this information. Have you told them that you'd like to know? Whenever my lady starts to gripe about what some company is doing or not doing or how their web site works or any number of other things, I ask her, "Have you told them how you feel?" This is a LOT easier to do these days, with pretty much all companies having web sites with a "Contact Us" option on there somewhere (and if it's not there that's a heck of a red flag). Heck, I've been known to actually write letters to companies when I didn't figure that the site was going to do what I wanted, in terms of getting the attention of someone who had the ability to address the issue! Not often, but it still does work. Things won't ever change if you don't tell them what you're happy or unhappy about…

OMG!!! OVER-CLOCKED?????? You SHOULD know that you mist check the current thru the LEDs when upping the supply voltage. You do know this, right????????????????????????????????????

amorphic cells altho in the uk might be really good for the cloudy weather as they can still charge in those conditions will generally only last about 5 years before they burn out from the sun tho in your case julian you might be able to stretch that to 10 years …. maybe
don't know why but germans always use some funny voltages in led lamps and installations
When I saw "overclocked" I thought you were going to ramp up the power to the existing lamp or add extra LED's .
Lot of desk estate for little improvement, maybe take those Wilko 64 LED bulbs and retrofit to lamp1.
