JLCPCB Prototype for $2(Any Color): https://jlcpcb.com
Resistors arrive in post - I solder them onto some PCBs. Throughout this, I babble on endlessly, like I've got cabin fever, brought on by the inability to go outside, due to 17 years of non-stop rain.

Ahh, the silver voice of Julian does soldering. Very nice, very nice. A must for all professional engineers everywhere. x

I'm pretty sure I got leaded solder from Amazon UK.

Lol. "Who would shoot video in portrait mode?"

Here in the U.S. you can rent a concrete mixer st the local hardware store. It might save your back a lot of pain.

JulianWhat CAD program do you use to generate the Gerber files for your PCB's ?ย  Is it a free software program ?

That is absolutely hilarious. You should have left that 4 second video up. Almost meme worthy.

"Sparsely full of stuff"…o my…now that is really 100% leaded waffle. Carry on that man.

"Proper Copper Legs". Oh, Ya! The tolerance band for 1% is Brown. That surprised me, but I seem to remember, when resistors first came out, a 5% tolerance was about as good as they could get (and probably all that was needed for circuitry of Olde).

So they said "Let's make it a Gold Band". (Silver Band is 10%).

The best is Grey at a whopping 0.05%, then Violet at 0.1%, Blue at 0.25%, and Green at 0.5%. Red comes in second to Brown at 2%. (This is in case anyone didn't know and wondered; these %'s of course are plus or minus XX%. I would have put in the fancy "Alt+" symbol for Plus/Minus, but my browser (or YouTube) jumped me into Internet Hyperspace when I tried to insert it and I lost the post I started.)

Oh, Man!! It is raining a lot here in New England. I guess it is "New" but not "Improved".

I so want to come to England. (My hereditary origin). You are awesome Julian!

It would be nice if you went through the designing of a board in eagle or what ever program you use. Show what files go into each girber file and how you deside the current on each board for traces. The decisions on where to place the pieces on each board with out doing it ahead of taping the video would be nice as I keep changing placement and it would be nice to see how others decide placement and then moving them and why. Thanks for the video. I am new to making boards and I am sure others would like to see the design and making and it should be interesting to those that would be using JLCPCB to make their boards. You would be showing the traces and where JLC would like the different girbers placed for them when they look for the holes, silk screen and so on. Thanks again.

On your postbag video you must have hit "crop" instead of "cut" while you had the 4 second portion highlighted…OOPS!

16 minutes of random talking? Best type of video. ๐Ÿ‘
