Connect them to a low ohm speaker and see if they play music. It seems the wave lengths are random but maybe they play Chinese music.
Don't know about tea light…

You're probably right. Boris Johnson probably has marginally more computing power than a flickering LED.

It's quite astonishing just how much micro electronics, and LED's have progressed in recent years. I've been around long enough to remember when LED's first appeared and how amazing that was. They were just dim little things, generally used as panel indicators and status lights. Actually, I still have the first one I ever bought, it's been strapped across the output of a 5 volt PSU I used for 74 series chips since new in the 70's! Despite being overdriven all those years it still works, if a little dimly! Now they are used as domestic lighting, car headlights and amazing torches! Now I discover they are available with built in micro controllers!
Connect the output of the current sense to Rx trough some buffer. Maybe It's trying to communicate?
Hook up a couple to run in parallel, and see if they flicker in sync? One per scope channel?
Can you make them flicker in sync with each other?
How to simulate with an arduino ?
I showed these my Mum (80) who quite liked them but after a few moments thinking asked "But they wouldn't melt the wax in my vaporiser would they?" She went on to propose a cost analysis of these and batteries Vs normal tea lights.

I wanted to ask you a lot of times if you know about "5A MPPT Solar Panel Regulator". If you search the exact string on ebay you will find a nice module for solar pannel (red board). Question: is it a real MPPT ? Can you test it ? I have the module but i'm not sure.
Anyway great job with the channel.
Buy these asap before the britexit as they will worth £10 in the future …
