Hi, could you tell me where the adjustable power supply you used to power the wattmeter is from? I would like a little simple one like that for quick checks of things. Love the videos!
Julian relying on the midwinter sun for his video projects. After building a number of battery networks and buying thousands of LEDs over the years… Don't ever change 😀
For anyone who prefers not to trust Chinese sellers, DIP LM324s are only circa 35p each from RS/Farnell/Rapid, 5p-10p for surface mount packages. I think I'd pay the extra to guarantee genuine and new items in my project. YMMV obviously.
Have you ever found one of those volt/amp panel meters that actually measured negative current? I have looked all over and never found one. I'd also like to find one where the meter power is isolated from the measured power !! I have a few apps where the common ground actually shorts out the load because the two black (ground) leads are bridged internal to the meter.
Awesome videos, love watching unboxing things!

There are plenty of rail-to-rail op-amps to replace the LM324 for your application. Try the LMV324.

Merry Christmas, Julian! Thanks for all the great videos in 2019.
Finally something that is not about making weird noises.
"I can't quite remember what the purpose of buying this was"…
Yeah, I hear myself saying that uncomfortably often as well.
Do we reckon Alice was born on 1st October, or the 10th January?
Try some high CRI LEDs like the ones BigClive uses.
@5m25s: "…can't remember…" SOLAR PANELS !! Voltage, Current, and POWER !! Makes manual adjustments for MPPT easy.
@4m15s: "US$4.49" for the lovely meter. Might be a bit cheaper on AliExpress, presently $4.28 with shipping. Varies.
