Just wondering how you prevent back current through the solar panel(mine has preinstalled diodes) effectively shorting the battery when the solar panel voltage is less than the battery? Also what frequency do you use for PWM? Thanks
Afternoon Sir. I have been wondering why you didn't have the cables come out of one end of the board? That way you could pot it in a clear pot like a film canister. Also, you could hang it cable end down to aid weather resistance.
I assembly 5 of the circuit but no one work! I did a little of troubleshooting and I find that if I connect a 12V battery to the circuit, the micro controller receive 10V and not 5V. Thinking of the voltage regulator was busted, I replace with a new one….but some thing! I use all the components in description. I checked everything 10 time. I can't find any error. I am using ceramic capacitors. Can this make a difference?
Thanks
Can i get its circuit diagram
That is really great, now if you could please give us a true MPPT version that would be wonderful.
On the subject of the FET on your desk. I remember a time when you were instructed to solder a wire across all three leads to short them until you have it fully installed into whatever circuit it was going in to, otherwise you'd destroy it just trying to install it. Electronics and ESD protection has come a long way.
Would you be able to make a video about the best and safest setup for a camper solar setup?
Solar + Leisure battery + alternator + starter battery. So you can charge the leisure battery from the alternator whilst driving, from solar otherwise.
Despite the fact that global warming has been shown to be a natural cycle, people still push the idea.
One thing to note is that there are on average 2,000 active volcanoes spewing out hundreds of thousands of tons of toxic green house gasses and that the amount man adds to that is pretty much a drop in the ocean.
So people don;t need to panic, ask yourself, who is making money out of this? More importantly, what are renewable energy projects failing? Any real weather change means more of sun, rain, wind, and all that means more chances to gather energy through hydro, solar PV and Thermal.
Julian please do an arduino project video mate
loved it as always 🙂
did you try using a mosfet driver for that irf3205? it should make it heat up less since you'd be turning it on and off properly
Does the charge controller have a way to detect power going through it? Could you output it on serial to a screen and let it read all 3 controllers at once? That would be neat
define 'good weather'.
I HATE heat… like a mosfet
And science doesn't care what you believe lol, as you know
hey julian did you remove postbag #137 for some reason?
Julian llett this is a amazing video great work i'm going to try to build this thanks for creating this video and channel you rock….A+A+A+A+
