What a coincidence that I just happened yo pick on this video of yours at random, and as you are describing the 25 painted figures, the post came- with the very same little 1/87 scale figures- just as badly painted as well!!( I ordered them for my son's railway layout.)

It's actually a counterbore that it creates rather than a countersink.
i got those useless countersink bits from china. So close to working well but they just got it wrong.

Bonus Fact: Little Computer People was an early program which was similar to a cross between a Tamagotchi and a very early prototype of The Sims. 🙂 I think it ran on a BBC microcomputer, but don't quote me on that.

It sounds like the feedback circuitry has had it and the MOSFET is being held on all the time.
And you know, some of the other people posting here just might be right. "Well" painted might be Chinglish for "dip" painted, as in painted by dipping into paint, which would explain a lot.
