you can flick a lighted ciggarette into a bucket of diesel and it still wont light, it needs to be compressed or atomised as in the diesel heater.

why are you not using an inline fuel filter and why are you using the good quality fuel line at the bottom off the pump but the crap cheapo pipe at ther top? that everyone in the know removes and chucks away as it deterioates splits and perishes.
I thnk you reaslly need to go watch a few you tube videos and learn how to set it up properly for your own saftey , if you are going to use it indoors and run the exhauist through an outside wall you also need to get yourself a carbon monoxide dector, there is much for you to learn freely acvailable on you tube.

There is no such thing as an 8 kw diesel parking heater it is just a marketing ploy to sell them to people who believe this nonsense, you either have a 2 kw or a 5 kw heater. the so called 8kw units have been tested on you tube and they put out no more heat than the 5kw units. the main reason you cant run it upside down is that there is a breather hole next to the glow plug shaft that aids combustion at start up and the diesel will leak out of this hole and flood the plastic casing with diesel.

Fuel pipe totally unsuitable. Fuel needs to come from rigid micro bore nylon tube. Pump needs to be manually primed, not pumped. If relying on the pump to prime it takes thousands of dry clicks to fill the line, filter and pump and it will wear out and fail. If in doubt, read instructions.

The fuel will not light just under the flint , clicking it does nothing for lighting Diesel . But then LOL you light (Flame) to light the stick . BUSTED !

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Alan Jackson says:

These pumps are lubricated and cooled by the diesel being pumped and should therefore be never run dry.

    neat

You bodges the installation big time. You installed the fuel line backwards!
The hard plastic fuel line goes from pump to the heater, The softer line goes from pump to the tank. You have them reversed
The exhaust pipe is not supposed to bent like that.
People looking for good info on these heaters, should go watch John McK47 videos and not be mislead my these clueless YouTubers.

You can increase heat output by running air output over exhaust outlet via a simple heat Exchanger,

quick one for you, THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN 5,6,7,8KW HEATER! these are clones of eberspacher D2 and D4 heaters so that means there are only two sizes of bodies! doing the math you would have to drive the fan at twice the max speed of 5000rpm so it would need to be spinning ay 10500rpm which it cant do! also it would need to be injecting 777ml per hour! so the bad news for you Jules and anyone else that have one over 4kw is you all got ripped off! Sorry but the math and phisics just dont lie.

Can someone tell me if this would work. I charge a car battery and put it in the trailer to use with the heater. It is not connected to a charger. How long would a typical car battery last with this heater before needing a recharge? The other thing I was thinking is attaching it to a solar charger where the solar panel is on the outside of the trailer. Thanks for any input.

WARNING: IF POWER IS LOST TO HEATER WHEN IN OPERATION. THE FLAME WILL GO OUT AND UNBURNED DIESEL FUMES WILL CHOKE YOU, THEY COME RIGHT OUT OF INTAKE END OF HEATER.
As an engineer I ran ever test I could think of on this thing. Also if you use it inside of heated space verses placing it out side you will always smell a bit of diesel from the vent cap or the fueling process.

Mine sometimes farts and burps atbthe exhaust end. Did this one ever do that ? I thought t was the bubles causing it.Planar…is the only one to buy. Chinese units suck. I own a Planar 8dm. 5 winters now..I use Conditioner thow. Burns cleaner

having the fuel so low is a mistake, from my experience. I put it at least level with the heater .. if you are not worried about leaks, above even. the pump does not need to run as hard and will last as long as the burner unit. my experience again, 3 yrs. In my shop, I run the exhaust through a larger diameter coil of pipe in a 55 gallon tank of water. this simple heat exchanger recovers almost as much heat as the blower puts out.

Dry pumping wears out pump as lubricated by diesel.

New heater won't start. Controller puts out E-06 code: "Check magnet polarity and Holzer sensor position". Any thoughts? Pulled cover and connections seem ok but fan doesn't spin freely, lots of resistance? Is this normal? Would appreciate any and all comments/help. Also when I push on button it shows fan spinning but stops after a few seconds.

Also have to seperate the dc wires to get proper reading
