Yeah and the wire can probably easily be cut by a diagonal cutter as well.
But this lock is absolutely fit for its intended purpose – it's not something you'd lock up your shed with – it is a small lock for use on bags and suitcases to prevent opportunistic thieves pickpocketing while traveling. Where you'd normally use a small light (zinc alloy) combination lock – which is easily decoded by the way, but again remember it's purpose, nobody is picking it while you're near as that'll take far too long . But the the fingerprint offers the addition of far greater pick resistance – most likely a tool or great violence to bypass – and it offer convinience and no combination to dial and and re-scramble.
Is that a servo motor?
Thank you. Useful video.
From the distant future.
This looks more like a toy as some have said already. Given the gauge of the cable, I wouldn't use as anything more than a deterrent and wouldn't leave what it was protecting unsupervised.
Thanks man. In using it only as a sensor which is much cheaper than diy parts…
for that price no.
Hey can I get some source for the circuit diagram
Do a inside of the other fingerprint of the same company
How do you charge it? Do you have to remove the battery?
"My finger shows you the way"
One could easily think of it as clever which it is ………..as for the rest it's junk and has next to zero security as a lock!
Apart from moderate violence they way in seems to be – loiter around the lock, await owner's return, distract him and press and hold so it goes to reset mode. Owner opens lock, unwittingly resetting fingerprint. Lock will then open in response to any finger. Pounce at leisure.
