I'm curious if there is a chip simply creating an audio signal and another chip amplifying the signal before driving the motor. You could inject an audio signal such as music and you have a nice amplified speaker made from a toothbrush.
Hey Julian have you thought of my idea? I'd try it myself but my sonic toothbrush still works and they are expensive.
Now can you tap the amp chip of the toothbrush and run audio into it and then hook the speaker to the output where the coil was?
Sonic toothbrushes are crap and very expensive. You'd be better off cleaning your teeth with the chewed end of a matchstick!

If you haven't done it yet, watch a CRT TV while clenching an electric toothbrush in your front teeth. Modulation interference viaualised before your eyes.
