Maybe the Eneloop-mode for NI-MH also doesn't apply trickle charging after the end of charge, in addition to the higher current, which would be a good thing for LSD cells.

could you please check is there is continuity between the two posetive poles and between the two negative poles on the 18650 side?

I just got one. I find that the feet on it aren't quite tall enough for the fan–which intakes air through the bottom–to work effectively.
