Microchip say that they never discontinued any chip they developed, so there are no plans to discontinue the AVR range. Happy 2017 ๐Ÿ™‚

Please post links – where have you purchased these boards. Thank you.

  5. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Shannon Gerry says:

Doesn't your pickit2 power the board on its own? I would have thought you could just unplug the barrel jack.

LFSRs are wonderful. I've only ever designed them through HDLs though, never actual circuitry.

Take everything with an LED and throw it in the bin – everyone and his dog has done the "OMG unique flashing LED project" to death and back again. It's like back in the 80's when every other magazine project was an EPROM programmer.
And Solar? Just buy a power supply Julian, you've done far too many chaining of buck/boost regulators, and I never was sure of the point of it all.
But a meaty Z80 project, that's what Youtube is crying out for (OK, it's just me…)

I do look forward to you continuing to refine the Muppet, and perhaps incorporating some of my own suggestions.

Also, where did you get your matrix workbench mat? I would love to have something similar for mine

muppet…..complete the muppet. use an external power supply on the input and vary the voltage/current

Simple DESOLDER Clean hole hint. eg: speaker leads. Once old leads have been pulled free, use solder iron to heat solder around joint then push a TOOTHPICK firmly into hole with screwing action. Allow solder to SET pull out toothpick & you've got a nice clean hole for the new speaker leads. If there is a very large dob of solder around the hole use solder sucker, solder wick, or a good flip shake to get rid of excess solder before using toothpick to clean hole.

How about building a ZX81 or spectrum clone? I've see it done in other places online and so it's doable and would be good since the programs etc are all out there already…
