2-pin jack. Professional. Yeah right. China shit. Why do you buy this crap??
I don't think screwing on the back interferes with the RF. I think the mic just picks up the vibrations of screwing on the cap…
Hi Julian. Have just assembled the multi-voltage PSU which appears to be working fine, after correcting the polarity of one of the two SMD diodes (SS34) which I had reversed. I suggest you check very carefully the polarity of these before adding. There is a (white) band at one end of the SS34 (+ve) denoting the orientation to match the board markings, however, on the two SS34's that I have, the bands are extremely faint. A good magnifying glass is strongly recommended.
Good luck with the build, and I look forward to the PSU video.
The incandescent appears to flicker more than the LED. Never would have called that one. Last LED bulb I had gave me a headache.
I notice the Baygen Freeplay radio Julian – it's a long time since I have seen one of those!
I just got this Banggood PSU, it works but it is noisy as hell, the output has voltage spikes up to 1V. That in effect makes a horribly noisy wave on the function generator kit.
Unfortunately cheap led filament bulbs don't seem to last very long yet, expect to replace the bulbs every 3 months unless you buy quality versions.I suspect the component ratings are just on the verge of being acceptable and fail prematurely!
Single turn probably means non-isolated, ie referring to the single turn in the inductors as opposed to a transformer.
