Surprisingly little circuitry is required to get a primitive video signal onto an old TV.

558th thumbs up. 👍
What about the 556? Couldn’t you split both Pauses the feed that through another 556.
Absolutely fascinating
Is there any reason reset and control are left floating? I noticed this in another 555 video and wondered about it. Love the channel.
I hear the high pitched noise
Like it!
That is cool. I'd want to make an oscilloscope from that. Looks like fun
Hello! Julian beatifull video, please share the schematic, you ave site link, thanks!
An added benefit of these old TVs is that they help you heat your house 😉
Can you post an image (schematic) of the output circuitry, the resistors and capacitors ? I want to try for myself !
a shame us young folk dont learn things like this , old tvs had loads of electronics concepts. great vid
PLEASE ! more tv stuff !!
something interesting me more, it is one of those breadboard, the very first produced by Vero… the one made pc boards with strips of coppers and full of holes… must have been around 79 to mid 80's, can't remember exact date. Love the idea and interesting video sync. Keep it up.
Very cool little project ..!
I also just found some SN74ALS123N an SN74ALS423N monostables in a frozen pile of scrap that happened to have an old discarded security system in it. They seem to work fine and are fun to tinker with 🙂
