Really enjoyable, brought happy memories of building a metal detector kit as a child. The bulb and battery story so touching; interesting on your employment history. Only one 'grumble' regarding watching your channel; I now have a growing collection of Arduino based projects here and making me remember C coding (ex software eng.) enjoying every minute!

Bravo Julian 🙂 I'd never be able to figure out one of these Chinese kits even though I've built many kits from Heathkit, DynaKit, Hafler, etc since the late 60's. Those brands had very clear instructions. BTW, I serviced the electrical end of offset web presses here in the USA since 1982 up until I retired in 2007 at the age of 57.
So I guess the link is where the on off switch is wired in is it?
Always watch your videos and wondered why i found your commentaries interesting and after viewing this series on the walkie talkies was more interested in your ramblings of your employment history as I have followed virtually the same path and similar employers and my interest began with a D cell and a bulb my dad gave me.I left electronics industry in 2005 to become network manager for a large school and my only regret was not having a degree but have never found it been a barrier to employment or earnings .Thank you for a very entertaining year and look forward to what Santa will be bringing you from China in 2016.
What a fantastic glimpse into your life. When we were first introduced to this kit I had no idea it was going to prove to be so valuable, but it has given you a platform to tell your history which to me is an absolute joy to hear.
