dreaming about a hitler beatle instead of a cadillac? what a bizzare upside down sad situation?!?! their bbc overlords and big brother probably banned those words so that they won't get sued by an offended polar bear. I have never seen a MAN fantasizing about a girly little scooter, disgusting, I am a WO-MAN and I drive an F-350 most of the time but when I'm trying to be fancy and smallish, I do my cool chevy impala or grand prix

Just put a 40a 8S lifepo4 bms on it – it will balance and protect your pack without all the faffing – you can add a coloumb meter too – less than £20 from China – it will tell you exactly whats in your pack and how volts and current your drawing

Can the length of wire affect resistance, if so you should make all the same length so they read the true voltage on the meter.

Were did you get the new batterys from ?

When connecting the balancing wires to the battery screws, why not solder a small washer style connector and crimp and solder on the balance leads and attach them to the batteries?

it ran equal voltages when you wiggled it

I admit i have not watched all of this project . . . . were did you get the cells and how much were they ? . . also how many amp hours do they hold ?

When you attach any kind of wire were you cant get an end on it, make a half hook with the wire and slip it under the washer and the wire wont move at all. You can even just stick it strait under any part of the washer you can get to. Also I would change to machine cap screws were you can use a little wrench instead of a screw driver. Good job keep trying.

Any chance that fuse (aka resistor) in the middle of the battery pack is confusing the cell balance monitoring?

Hey Julian, i have a question, i have 2 12v scooter batteries, and i have set them up in series, but i only have one 12v charger, so what i need to know is how to make a switch to switch between series and paralel, and the paralel for charging and series for draining… How do i do this? Can i use a 6 pin on/off/on switch? And how would the wiring go for it, i cant find it enyware… Plz..

those cells are nice! kinda scary soldering the balance leads

Use a ziptie between the two battery banks to hold the standoffs against each other. Thread it through the middle of the four cells and loop it around the same spot on the other battery.
