application excellent but looking at the output of the light do you really want to see the solar stand or open area ?

Dear Julian inspired by your project I'm trying something similar myself. I have an old car battery and just bought a solar panel and cheap controller. I have a 23 watt mains LED PIR light (bought a Chinese 30w light). Could I power this off the 12 volt battery? I'd need a 12v to 24v converter I suppose.

not sure if you have done an update but you should add a poll and relocate the led higher

Great show!! I would protect the battery and the electronics a bit against the weather, and place the led light somewere else.
