I bought lots of 3W LEDs mounted on star PCBs, so I thought I'd try to build a running light show.

Hello Julian, thanks for the video as it was much informational. You seemed to be much technical guy for this topic so I would like to ask help from you. I have bought below specs LEDs and want to know how can I light this up in 1 single panel, like what driver is required of what specs: 3Wx10 White LED

    1Wx10 Blue LED

    1Wx10 Full Spectrum LED

    Thanks in Advance.

What approach would you adopt to drive off individual 1 watt Leds from an arduino. All LEds run at 350 ma but there are different colours requiring between 2.3v and 4.0 volts. I could use eight Buck converters for efficiency but this is bulky. Is there a compact solution?

I plan to use 3W 20 red 2,2V and 10 blue 3,6V LEDS, all 700mA. What kind of driver I could use and maybe I can DIY from other devices?

can I ask for a comparison between the 3w single led and let's say a 3157 bulb or 1157 tail lamp bulb? and would it be worthy of a retro fit replacement. thx jon
