To run a 100W LED from a 12V battery you need a few bits and pieces. A high power boost converter to generate the 36 volts at about 3 amps. Lots of metal, thermal grease and heatsink hardware. And if you want a directional throw, you need a reflector and lens kit.

Julian, how do you get screw threads in heatsinks? Mine are terribly hard to drill into…
Does anyone actually use these LED's for a practical use? Pretty much every video on them is seeing if/how they work, but no real projects where they're useful
