This 9W LED spot light is bright and has a wide dispersion. It features 60 surface mount 3014 LEDs (3.0mm x 1.4mm). Nice colour, half way between the yellow halogen bulb and those nasty cool white (blue/white) LED bulbs. £18.99 for 4 on eBay.

I bought 9 watt bulbs similar to this, and they are all very dim, like 20 watt incandescents.

I couldn't tell you I'm afraid – it's long since dropped off my eBay purchase history. I'm not looking at mains powered GU10 bulbs anymore – not since discovering that some of them are lethal!

Why didn't you bought a warm-white LED bulb for comparison?

When I installed my solar lighting in my flat I used leds at first. But went over to low wattage energy savers. I found they gave off a more uniform light. Where the led was a fixed area of light.
