Time to run a second cable from the solar tool shed down to the battery bank. Since twin and earth cable has 3 separate conductors, this will give me 6 copper cores in total. That's 2 high current lines and a third line handling a little less current.

Hi Julian, I'm a new follower, and would like to ask if you have tried / succeeded in connecting a solar pv panel direct to an immersion heater in DC? The mains immersion heater (2Kw?) show 20 Ohms across the 13A plug on a dc tester. I'm wondering about using it as a low-level heater to reduce the time my gas boiler has to run. Thanks, Tim
