Bought this amazing science workshop for £5 from my local charity shop. Some of the component markings and descriptions are a bit iffy, but I approve of the gender neutrality of the box design.

I'm a bit of a hoarder and have always been interested electronics. So I have a few of these and the snap types. They nearly all have the same mistakes even in different makes. Also the quoted number of experiments is very misleading. Just changing the method of switching. And some of the snap/pop are the similar. One kit I have calls a transistor a tube. Hehe

Stick to electronics please. We all know what is the end result of your leftism. Your own people are now a minority in your capital.

Anyone remember the classic Tandy ones lol

Normalizing the gender binary isn't necessarily "gender neutral".

I love those kind of labs!!! unfortunately I can't have them in my country I had a chance to get 2 elenco's kits, that was a great luck at a flea market 🙂 so happy to own those lol

Oh boy… let's scroll through the comments and see the conservatives reeeeing

But also thanks for pointing that out… I get so annoyed when people go on and on about the injustices in society but commonly fail to even mention the blatant sexism that's so commonplace in childhood, it's even incorporated into the toys.

As a trans girl who's recently come out now having to confront "but you never played with dolls" etc, it's a shame I have to explain the societal expectations that are placed on people from such a young age, it seems as though very few people are even aware of it's presence in their own upbringing.

Anyways… It was nice to hear someone acknowledging it for once 🙂

The logic is flowed. The argument seems to be that stuff made for girls is colored PINK because girls will immediately be attracted to the color…

The excitement is that the color becomes white as it mixes up, I guess.

You've clearly heard too much gender crackpot propaganda. Read some books on biology and evolution to get the real science behind sexual dimorphism. And remember, a social scientist is not a real scientist.

This is a good one. I still have one that my brother bought in 1984. 30 experriments. In 1997 i got the fm radio to work, I remember but it wasnt as clear as yours. These things are not that good for learning electronics. It is just an exercise in precision wiring, imo. I am learning arduino now.

The spinning wheel is a demonstration that all colours when blended create white, which it demonstrated quite well.
