The L.A.M.B. – sounds like something the Thunderbirds might have in the secret island laboratory 😃

I'm just here for the dry humor and bird calls.

In the USAF Stationed down in RAF Uxbridge we had a Band Aid Station in High Wycombe..

Besides the lack of power, I don't get the idea behind the bypass Diode. The reason to use a bypass diode would be to bypass a shaded cell in order to avoid the power breackdown of th whole panel. To be really effective there should be 36 bypass diodes because then the non-shaded cells would be able to put out their power without being obstructed by the shaded ones. If only one bypass diode is built in it only prevents the obstruction caused by one shaded panel so that other panels wired in series can still put out power.

This does make sense for bigger solar strings where more panels are wired in series especially if located in a way that on could be shaded while the others are not.

I'm wondering who would build a string of solar panels from those toy panels as shown here, especially because they deliver it with crock clips. I really would like to see a 10s 180Volt Solar string connected in series with non isolated crock clips 🙂

Learned! Divide any measurable data given by Chinese sellers at least by 3 unless you like to be disappointed. I can't imagine any reasonable excuse for those wrong specs except fraudulent people.

Any updates on these solar panels? Sun had to shine sometime in the last year there. Really curious. I bought two to charge trolling motor batteries on my boat since we are not allowed to run electric on the docks. And it's a pain to carry them in to be charged.

that is a 15 watt panel and breaks easily. Everything the Chinese claim, you divide by 2 or 3

    what is that solar controller?

Excuse me for the indelicate question, but what part of the UK you live? This video was uploaded in the middle of october, but I can see lots of green grass around and it look like it's summer… Very beautiful 🙂

Frustrating to watch a 20 minute test video, with no proper test. I almost bought this panel, and would really like to know if it is an authentic 30w panel or just a rip off mis-labeled 20w?

Those muppets in Fraggle Rock burn tyres just to block out my sun in Lane End. Bastids!

Hi Julian, I want to set up a simple 12v solar trickle charger, That I can take of 5v to charge my devices, or the full 12v to keep my modem going in the event of a power failure. I can deal with each the volts out, but what would I need in respect of a solar panel, battery, and a charger and controller.

    Thank you.

    Mike
