Looks alright. Might want to put a cross -brace on the front and back so it's less likely to fold if pushed from the side. A single cross-brace located centrally under the panel would work as well. Just use shorter screws so they don't poke through the other side and into the panel.
interesting way to build haha, with all those clamps.
Makes me want to make a build video too. With 2x4s, I built a security camera mount that can be tossed on the tip top of the house roof. I planned it out using 3d model software on my mac. Then went at. Final product came out in little bit different dimensions then plan, because I just decided to make a couple less cuts and have less leftover junk to clean up.
….. " ……. i'm a rubbish wood worker ……"…….. don't confuse rubbish with pragmatic , i would suggest i ( &10K people ) are not watching you for your wood working .ย
At least you realised that you might have some problems getting the frame out of the workbench. I'd have screwed it together and then stood there in a sitcom like moment realising I was going to struggle to remove it. Enjoyed the video.
You are the best entertainer in Youtube for me because all these LED "experiments". I've done a similar 100w LED as you did but with 400w boost converter and it's powered from car battery and solar panel. You are the best keep up the good work and you just hit 10 000 subs here ๐
I'm sceptical. Is your miss really going to accept having this huge thing in the garden? ๐ Car batteries and big solar panels are not exactly an ornament.

How you will deal with the humidity to the components? Maybe an acrylic panel under the solar panel??

Does this controller cut the load off when the battery is flat? Mine annoyingly makes the load flick on and off. Ive uploaded a video
what is the blue pen called that you use to adjust the potentiometer? i have searched and searched and canot find one like thatย
Love it. Garden light with attitude.
can't wait to see it done! ๐
Will you add some optics to the LED? ๐
Couldn't you just use the output voltage of the solar panel as a "light switch"? It pretty much is a light sensor after all ๐

I would have used wood glue together with the screws, but after all, you can't disassemble it then…

This is going to be fun ๐ I'm supposed to be working on my own projects, but I always end up watching yours instead.
