Would it be possible to do this with an ltc3780?

Do you know if you get out the display from this model ( BST900W ) and change it with a display from ( D3806 ) YOU CAN GET (185V DC OUTPUT! ). I just try it

Julian, I have watched you and been a Subscriber for a heck of a lot of years, and I dont recall if your significant other gets irritated or not with all your experiments. I dont get to catch all your content unfortunately so I may have missed you mentioning it. Any way, thanks for this video and all the others you have put out! Cheers!

Здравствуйте. Вы можете снять видео где сохраняется в памяти заданное напряжение. Ячейки памяти от L0-до L9? I click on the coupon, he writes to me that the coupons have run out. What should I do?

Put your hand up if you talk to yourself when doing this sort of thing even when not recording for YouTube?

I have one of those with the led display and it's alright but and I know like you said it always passes current but it seems like on something like that that is a bigger more expensive unit that they could have a relay or mosfet on the output so it would just be disconnected till you enabled it

Which one of these boost converters is better? The LED version or the LCD version? On the listing photos I noticed that the inductor is smaller on the LCD version.

Julian Thanks for the link to the Boost Converter. I have a few of them, but really liked the one in your video. Regards,

hi julian was going through my old papers and came across your tutorial "HOW TO USE INTELLIGENT L.C.D.S " was a great help when i was coming to terms with the "LCD" it brought back some great memories it was copyrighted 1998 cheers

I believe there should be a mode that indeed turns on the boosting as soon as it gets a sufficient input: long press the button to change from input and output parameters for 2-3 seconds and you should read ON or OFF

Consider turning off the auto-ranging function of the meter if you have it in shot because at times it looks like the output of your supplies shoots up really high when it switches over to mV range.

Whats the sense of converting 12V to 80V first and than converting back to 12V – other than generating losses? I love these little converters but the application here is questionable i think….

    Julian,
I just thought to let you know that over a year ago I layed out two versions of a simple switch mode board to supply +15,V 15 V , 5V from a 5V input, with both + 15V in direct converter output plus extra filter (LC low pass) outputs, and also a filtered 5V output. One based on through hole chip and some SMD the other slighlty smaller based on SMD switchmode chips.
I have run with over 1A on each of the 15V supplies and no issues.
The 15V is of course able to be changed by setting corresponding resistor ratio even independantly for + and – if so wanted.
Size wise the board with DIP converter chips would be smaller, or worst case similar to the 5V module you had here. The 5V filtered output is fed direct from input source, which could be treated also as equivalent unfiltered source., so effectively you have three outputs with pure capacitive filter plus these same supplies with additional LC filtering.
    Any interest?
