To charge two batteries from one solar panel, you need two solar charge controllers. My new PWM5 controller has been specifically designed to be used in this configuration. Both batteries are individually monitored and controlled to ensure optimum charge rate and voltage. This is a common configuration on boats. One battery is used to start the engine and the other is used for navigation electronics or TV/fridge.

you should make a video of this with two battery banks that have their own controllers built in, such as a jackery. Many people have multiple units

Didn't work for me, got a AGM and lead acid, agm charges fine on mppt while the lead acid is overcharging to about 16v while charge controller everything is below 12v because of this but no dice.
Time to call a mechanic electrician.

Thanks for the informative video. I'm trying to get some advice on how to use Solar panels, to charge my deep cycle Electric trolling motor batteries, three 12 Volt batteries, all wired in series, to supply the necessary 36 Volts to the motor. The controllers you are showing in the video, are they simply diodes to isolate the batteries from each other?
