Fnirsi DC/DC buck/boost converter with LCD. Potentiometers for the CC and CV controls and a simple digital interface for on/off and timer shut off. This version is fan cooled - cost $16.99 and can handle 60W. The fanless model is $13.99 and can dissipate 35W. Shame it doesn't have OVP cutoff which would be easy to implement in the firmware.

Another great entertaining video Julian. That was a bit mean with the pointless set displays – thing is you were soooo excited at the beginning. Now I just ordered one for £5.99 including 20% VAT, and to save using multi-multimeters that display is cute and useful. Is it just that you are so many years ahead and your letter box should deliver a portal to another universe? £5.99 gets me a single pot from RS now with their min charge. Parts list for this item would be the real cost, a lot more than a fancy take-away coffee.
