I would rather have separate knobs for voltage and current so if you turn the V knob the V display goes into V set mode (maybe flashing) and after 3 sec goes back to actual output voltage with the Amps knob doing the same thing. You could still have the knob as a third settings knob but without volts and amps setting in the menu. This would make it real easy to set the volts and amps without having to go into a menu.

Do you still have this Unit? Did you ever put it to use? does it still work? You never did a part2 of this, at least i did not find it on your channel.

At 8.12 you say the presets are quite unfathomable.
also have this unit & despite much experimenting & reading of the Chinese-English instructions I am no nearer.
If you have solved this issue can you please advise how I might contact you for help.
    Thanks

Nowhere near ZXY6005D. Looks like a toy compared to that, no capacity for battery charging and slow (bad) user interface. Good sides is higher amperage, and no worry about heat dissipation. But those are only advantages as far as I can see.
Julian, if you do review on these, please also include ZXY6005 or ZXY6020. Greetings from Serbia

Does the fan come on when power on or when unit gets hot? I've got the same model and fan is not coming on when radiator is hot.

For part 2: Can you determine which IC is controlling the converter? As an alternate question/request, could you, please rattle off the IC's? I do not mean for you reverse engineer the power supply, I am just curious as to what the designer might have used to control the converter.

    Thanks,
    Steve.
