Is there a 'Call that a knigfe' gag in the comments by David Jones ?
Consider two 14500 LiFePo4 and two dummy cells for your camera's higher voltage needs. They're also good for flashlights which can accept lithium because they just as bright but safer.
As for the hot exhaust next to wood. Cut up an aluminum pie tin and tack it on the wood to reflect the infra red and dissipate any heat which the aluminum absorbs. It's cheap insurance friend!
try the ikea Ladda 2450 battery. it same that eneloops but much cheeper
Julian. You should just order 2 more of those cells. Is 6.4 volts alarmingly high to put in that imager?
You should get some of that resealable gel for PCBs. That gel that makes a huge mess but you can stick probes through it and probe your board then when removed it reseals the water proof coating. May be a bit expensive though.
Looks like I shouldn't buy a muffler from China. I'm sure the ATF wouldn't be thrilled with me getting a "silencer" in the mail.
If you use the clear shrink, just seal the upper end so any moisture could get back out the bottom. They'll likely last longer.
That is an air intake silencer, that's for sure. It will work well, but you need an air filter too. It's not the bugs you should be concerned with, but the abrasive particles that could be sucked into the cylinder which will act like a sanding paper.
If the HT-04 wasn't so expensive…but then you can get a Seek Thermal XR for about US$100 less.
I'm putting together a solar energy solution at my home, off the grid. Your videos are very helpful. Thanks for this.
Your handheld scope came from Maplin. I have one. It hates duracells,.
