Old video, and I bought my assortments back in these days or earlier. I also picked up an assortment or two of Low ohm but Higher wattage resistors. Caps and other things also, all stored in a reasonably organized system. Now to stop watching so many videos and start building and finishing more projects…..

Eh, Julian, I just look for the offers with the highest n for "n values m pcs metal resistors". Found a 135-value one, and in comparison with other offers (120 values, 130 values, 134 values, etc) they all only differ in very few obscure values in randomly selected powers of 10, like 8.4 ohms or something like that, and about getting one bag of each, I think I'm settled for life as far as selection goes. I don't think I'll ever have an application that necessitates deciding for a 1.1-ohm over a 1.2-ohm through-hole resistor, but alas, I have them now. Assortments are just too attractive to not have.
