18W max seems to be standard for many QC 3.0 chargers and power banks.

You will do Vocoder and then back to Arduino projects. I am guessing. You know the Arduino projects are what gets the creative juices flowing! (As well as Electrons and Data). 🙂 Love Your Work, Julian!!

Isn't it a stupid idea to use USB as output for loads bigger or smaller than 5 Volts??? I know it's a battery charger but still..

I like it – ebay keeping Chinese vendors honest – there is such a lack of integrity and honesty in Communist China – goes to show that Socialism/Communism/Fascism and all those other …isms just don't work as well as that good old bible – The Word of God (the Creator's manual to his creation – humanity).  It's like receiving electronic components with no reference part numbers so there is no way to discover what it does – i.e. useless!

Julian ,I have been Watching a lot of videos On You tube about these Supercapacitors . And One of the Things people are building are Spot welders For the 18650 Batteries tabs . I wanted to build a spot welder For This purpose . And I thought at first this would be about the safest way and cheapest to do this . But recently some have said this is very dangerous to do . So now I do not know what I want to do ??? What is your opion on this subject ? I really don't want to use the Microwave Power Supply As I have seen this also On You tube … Perhaps you can test this Idea and let me know thanks for your videos ad Wisdom …

Great tutorial and as usual, thank you. I ordered 3 Converters, now will search for the USB voltmeter although circuit' s LED's show set voltage. great Vedeo Julian.

….. Those Super Capacitors are designed for use on a Kitchen Sink, (Farah Fawcett).

Can you lock mode & voltage on the power fiddling device by setting them then tying the WP pin High?

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars RWBHere says:

Serious question, Julian: Why are you going to the time, trouble, expense, bulk and complexity of using Supercapacitors, when a much cheaper, simpler, compact result, with longer endurance per charge, can be obtained from 18650 cells?

If that sanded chip on the QC3 trigger is also an Atmel atTiny, I wonder why they added the external eeprom. Just remembering a setting wouldn't use that full 2K bits and an atTiny also has a build-in eeprom that could be used. Perhaps that 14 pin chip is no atTiny after all?

I wasn't terribly interested in the items in this post bag…other than that bubble wrap! 🙂

Hey you (round eyes) why you make fun from Chinese rerning?

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars David Hamilton says:

These super capacitors, what sort of current will they let out on a dead short, like a normal cap and just dump it all?

    £84,93???

Well, that’s probably the world’s most expensive auto tail-light bulb flasher. 🙂
