Look… no one else has commented this, so I have to…
"That's what she said"
Maybe you could design and order a "V2.0" style board from JLCPCB?
Hello Julian,
Do you know about SAB Mosfets used to balance supercapacitors?
I think they sent the pen with the top on and it came off, considering the other two were intact. I don't know why your first assumption was that they did it on purpose.
Can somebody tell me what does he says when he reads "1.0"? He reads it one point … something. I didn't encounter that pronunciaton before. P.S. English is not my native language.
Has anyone counted how much Julian had spent on Ebay over 116 postbags?
Fill the lid of the pen that came opened with 99% isopropyl (or a similar plastic-safe solvent), then put it on the pen. The solvent will soak into the tip and revitalize it after some time. I learned that trick when I accidentally left the top of my pen off overnight.
I was just thinking, with those chips could you not fold the pins under the package so they fit the narrower board. I think there is actually a package format like that.
The Kester flux pens arent meant to be refilled. Maybe you can drill a hole and refill them if you really want to, but it may not be worth the effort.
Your knife is as dull as ever.
Search ebay for liquid flux, you'll get dozens of results with Topnik stuff. I've been using that TK83 for a couple of years (don't know what the RF800 is like) and find it much better than using a flux pen for SMD soldering because you don't need to actually touch the board or component with the brush, just get a drip hanging on the end of the brush and touch the board and it will flood round all the leads of the component.
So Julian… We've seen you order super capacitors for idk.. 6 month ? a year… ? And almost each time you tell us "So… what I'm planning to do with this is charge it up with this and we should see these LEDs come on… etc…".
Maybe I missed a few episodes, but I'm not sure I understand what will come out of all this experimentation :-/
Is it just a noble quest for knowledge or is there a big spectacular conclusion to this lying ahead in the future ? ๐
Have you changed the mic? It sounds higher pitched or whatever it's called, like the crinkle from packages and other higher pitched sounds seem very loud. I watch with headphones so it's been noticeable lately and it's almost unbearable to me.
Oh not more super caps….Boring!!!! get back to the rusty pic project board and the Vocoder
Julian, you have a supercapacitor addiction.
