Some time back I got in on a deal put together by a list member who happened to be in the UK. I paid something under $15 for 100 stereo jacks of this sort!

Apropo about nothing: In Feb, 2014, You posted an video on " Building a Battery (Cell) Internal Resistance Tester # 1". An excellent intro to the subject BTW. Have my channel searching skills deserted me or did you not post a follow up to said video? If you did post such a beast, could you save my old eyes and give me a hint what you called it? TIA
Apparently that USB 2.0 hub you bought with individual lighted switches was USB1.1, so they are very slow for managing a thumb/flash drive. I can't find one that promises 2.0 protocol. Very little choice.
What's happened to Julian? Did he get hit by a truck? Or perhaps I should say a lorry? A day without Julian, is like a day without sunshine. 🙂

Dosn't having double sided USB light short out the pins that are not connected? I thought they will get in contact with the metal shield of the USB socket.

the mono to 3.5 would still work aslong as the wiring is connected to the 2 ends and not center pole
Hi Julian, I've been suckered by some of those cheap china plastic cases myself. I know too well how good they look in photo. The Tommy Walsh stuff is actually quite good for the price.
The A in 3.0A refers to the physical connector, not the standard. A connectors are the flat rectangular ones found on computers and usb sticks, B connectors are the type found on devices like phones, printers and external hard drives and type C is a new standard with a reversible connector found on a few phones, the Nintendo switch and the latest macbook.
