Checking that the walkie talkie transmits.
I used a different camera app on this video - open camera. No focus dance!! Oh, and did you hear the doorbell ring half way through? Postbag!!

Thank you for the wonderful sharing. I bought one last year and had it done, but mine was not working until watching your movie. The J1 jump helped me a lot. Will you upload a calibration video later? Thank you again.

you are making a walkie talkie and is weird that the noise is louder when you touch the antenna in AM?

The reason you were picking up distorted audio on a different frequency than you expected is because the antenna was not the correct length. Transmitting with a wrong sized antenna can seriously damage or break the transmitter

I bought the same little radio, about 10 years ago, bored out of my head at the Channel Tunnel crossing shop at Dartford. It's been my morning shaving R4 tuned companion ever since! Love your YouTube channels so much – I hope you get as much out of it as all your subscribers!

I'd suggest you to go grab a SDR reciever. They are dirt cheap on eBay, and are actually really useful when troubleshooting RF equipment. With the free software SDR#, you can visually see the signal in a 'waterfall-view'. Also good to see some progress on the kit.

These would be great for someone who is starting out in radio as the circuit is simple to build. Once built, they would be of limited use as there are several drawbacks with this simple circuit. Super regenerative receivers tend to emit a lot of broadband noise in a large bandwidth around the receive frequency. Also, the frequency of the transmitter isn't controlled with a crystal, and could conceivably transmit out of band and violate radio regulations.
