I smashed my 12V LED filament light bulb. The LED driver circuit is based around the XL6001 constant current boost converter/driver. With bonus super computer super capacitor charge segment.

Julian, you spend way too much time dithering … just get on with it, pleaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhzzzzzzzzzz !!! [why didn't you just solder in a new LED strip?)

for testing like this why not simply *make some quick conductive ink or buy roberts and dip the ends to make good temp contact.

*get some of the wifes Pure Acetone Nail Polish Remover, burn some toast, grind it,microwave it,check for conductivity, place it in a used glass Princes Beef Paste pot, add some Acetone, add a small/tiny piece of styrofoam as the desolved binder replace the top and give a good shake, retest and done, ready to use.

or use it as a base for remaking generic conductive glue sticks if you want to make it even more convenient later

i'm often described as a 'dim bulb'. perhaps i can re-solder myself. between my dyslexia and working in a mirror, perhaps i should just start for the er now. take care & stay safe.

How is this a 12v LED in a E27 Socket?? Never seen that.
I only know 12v AC/DC LEDs with the G4/G9 socket

Everyone knows the brighter the lights on your supercomputer, the more powerful it is.

random comment, but I had the weirdest ebay parcel arrive today. I ordered a couple of Li-polymer cells from China, just little 650mAh ones, and they arrived today packed inside a fake device enclosure. its a black plastic thing that has the form of maybe one of those ancient pre-smartphone PDA things or something like that, but the buttons are just moulded shapes not actual buttons. I initially thought I'd been sent the wrong thing, but then turned it over to see a sticker on the back saying "please open cover: goods in cover". opened it up, and sure enough, there were my cells taped to a block of foam inside this faux enclosure thing. the customs declaration sticker describes the contents as "toy cover", so Im assuming its some way of getting around Li-ion batter shipping regulations. deceitful and strange, but inventive and useful. which pretty much sums up chinese ebay, funnily enough.

Lampshade. I'm lampshading a lampshade, which probably should be lampshading that lamp, and protecting the lamp against future lamp-bashing in the process. 🙂 Seriously, a cheap plastic lampshade would probably be easier to replace than having to replace or repair that lamp every time you accidentally bash it.

cool, a 12v led filament bulb. I think I"d like that bulb. At one time we had a few 12v incandescent bulbs with that socket. Would be a real surprise in Germany.

I’d love to do something evil by marking that bulb as working on 120 VAC, instead of 12 VAC. Then just wait for the inevitable loud bang and release of the magic smoke. 🤣💥🧨

    Horrible migraine-inducing whine + massively out-of-focus video = downvote
