Hi Julian, I greatly enjoy your videos since I too am extremely fascinated with switching power supplies and how they work. I am in the process of building some relatively small 12 volt power banks to use as a very clean source or direct current for driving high power semi conductor laser drivers. Would you be able to tell me the model number of the plastic end caps that you are using to construct your battery packs? I have found a great deal of these type of lithium cell holders on Ebay but none of them have the very convenient screw terminal at each end of the cell holder. I would greatly appreciate and assistance you are able to provide in locating more of these type of cell holders. I think you are probably the only person on ebay right now that is playing with the exact same devices as I am except that I dont have any solar arrays. Again thank you if you are able to help me and please make many more power supply videos since I for one will never grow tired of this type of videos.

Wish I saw this sooner, my wickes probably all sold out by now.

Hi nice video, one question does someone had issues with the vruzend connectors with getting split in the plastic (right at the seam, from plastic molding)? My broke apart after around 1/2 year. And even if it is not pulling that much current you should always try to get + and – connectors the same length around the battery to get the batteries evenly charged and discharged. In your configuration the Batterie connected to the working 12V will always give the most current und so might get under or over voltage.

can you charge and discharge the power bank at the same time? sorta like a UPS?

Would it be too cruel to say you make almost as much sense during fast forward as you do at normal speed?

10m35s: You're one thin layer of plastic from a dead short. The outer edge of the cell is the cylinder (negative), and you're pushing possibly-sharp metal (welded to positive) into the insulating layer (negative). Beware !! (Ask me how I know about this – LOL !!)

Where do you get those battery holders that screw together rather than needing the batteries to be spot welded?

That is an odd shape power bank, but who cares as long it works fine.๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘

Hi Julian, been following your videos for some time now and this is my first posting reason being I watch your videos on my home TV. My home TV has no way to comment so here I am.

One of my hobbies includes building my own battery packs for projects using Li-ion cells the 18650 variety. What I am looking for and the reason for commenting is I am trying to find a small circuit board that will allow powering a device (ESP8266 Dev BD) with a 18650 cell pack.

At the same time allowing the charging of said cells from a small solar panel. Do boards exist that will allow the charging and powering of the device at the same time? Load and charger connected and operating at the same time?

Thank you great series and love your package opening and sharing with us the treasures you have found.

Did we miss you balance charge all the cells to be equal? If not could go bang if you charge that by over charging the high charge cells.
