Time to connect a solar panel to a 12v battery and take a look at voltage, current and power. I'm using a bigger 80W panel now, so the bargraph has been modified to automatically change sensitivity above 27 Watts.
With no charge controller in circuit, I'm having to make sure the battery cannot go over voltage, so I've put a heavy load on it (150W incandescent light bulb) while I run my tests.
