Thanks for this. I needed to learn more before pledging that hard earned down.

Are you still using this device and worked the novelty period through.
    Thanks

I will wait for batteries to come down in price and increase in performance. I expect this to happen by 2023 as EV's will be becoming dominant by then with standard 300 miles range and fast charging. At the moment Li-Ion especially for these devices is immature and extraordinarily expensive. Solid state with higher power density and lower cost is what is required.
For this price I would like a 3Kw capacity and I hope a much better BMS to balance the charge across the cell packs better.
Not bad as a first try concept which will get much better I hope soon.
p.s Doing some research into suppliers from China I found a 2Kw system with 1.5Kw inverter for £576 which is more like the price I would be expecting to pay.

that 7909 plug looks like something off of a Dell laptop.

  6. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Christopher Perry says:

Power bank says its using 457w power meter says its getting 437w both are correct. 20w is lost through the inverter on its way to the meter. Easy.

Just because manufactures call a battery a generator — is no reason to let them get away with changing definitions of terms .
To those that are going to argue , when the battery is dead , there is no generation !

100ah at 14.8v 3.7v per cell – 16.8v at 4.2v per cell dam no wonder this is over 1grand

  9. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Horne says:

Battery Capacity: 1500Wh (3.7V 405,000mAh ,101,351mAh/14.8V) pulled from amazon page of the same unit as the one in this video

  10. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Daniel Horne says:

i reckon its 16.8v at 20ah for 1.5kwh as the battery for my 1000w e bike is 48v 20ah and about 1kwh its 13s8p or 13s7p i think it was quite expensive at almost £400

    Battery Capacity: 1500Wh (3.7V 405,000mAh ,101,351mAh/14.8V
Yeh right I bet they full of shit

  13. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars Plane Speaking Carpentry says:

I think it's a good bit of kit but the price is a bit steep. I might get one with less storage for a fraction of the price.

  14. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars paul hall says:

So it’s a battery in a box with an inverter!
Solar charged Power bank then not a generator ? Marketing Bullshit

  15. Avataaar/Circle Created with python_avatars MrShwaggins says:

So those fold out solar panels that you would bring camping works just as well as the two 80 watt big panels you have? Thats kind of amazing if I'm understanding this right.

4S3P?! Wow, those cells must be massive! CALB style!
