Whhat about li-ion battery?
What if you're using a LiPo with ~1200mah, would you require to change the charge current as you did in this video with the resistor?
Are there any cheaper alternatives to the max17043 based boards? They seem expensive, £2.60 is the cheapest I can find on ebay. Not that that is expensive per se, but that can buy almost two arduinos from ebay.. Or 200-300 LEDs… Or an LCD for arduino..
Could this setup also charge lipos with multiple cells? (say a 2cell 2200 {7.4v})? thanks
isn't the battery 3.7V ? how is it able to power a 5V circuit?
the charger charge phone batteries to?
Hi,
That charging board can be used to charge a 1200mAh LiPo? What should be the resistor value? And, by the way, what's the resistor value that's on the board already?
I see that you used A0 and A1 from Arduino for CE and GND connections on RF modul. Very clever. How does that work?
Hi Julian,
do you know if there is a NiMh battery gauge out there, where you even can give the number of cells that are in series as input?
Are there even protection circuits for NiMh out there? I mainly want to cut off the power when they are <1 Volts each cell.
Thanks.
I was away in Ireland for 3 months. Now it's time for a Julian llett marathon. 😀
Hi Julian, very interesting project. Would love to see the finished product. Will you be making a 3D printed case? Combing all that into a single board design would also make things quite a bit smaller.
