    Have one of these I tried to reverse engineer the pcb because the quality of the radio is less than desired. A lot of interference.

    you left out the switch. its possible the voltage isn't passing to the transistors without that component. double check your schematic.

    hi there Julian, I have a few questions about LED lights. I think you're the one who can help me. I'm designing a led light that's dimmable and runs on batteries. I think I'll go with 18650 cells. the dimmer must dim in a circular motion. so its batteries-dimmer-driverl-led chip. can you give me an advice on where to buy this stuff and roughly tell me where everything goes.     Thank you for this , the best Christmas gift  I`ve received in a while and thank you for telling a little about your past . This reminds me of a kit I received as a child ,it was a crystal radio ,it had to be built inside a plastic case ,I remember following the directions to the letter ,winding the coil ,measuring the wire for the antenna ,it was tuned by a metal ball that slid along one side of the coil where you had to sand away the insulation ,was hours of fun listening to radio stations using something I had built and did not need batteries just a 1N34 germanium diode .course this was back in 1966 or 1967

    After I have built a circuit I generally ohm out supply to gnd to make sure their is no short before applying any pwr. Also, at first pwr-on check the current draw of the circuit.
