eBay is awash with these solar mobile power banks, most claiming way more storage capacity than is genuinely inside - this one has just 4,800mAh of LiPos. The unit only charges properly in full sun - in low light it wastes all the energy it receives by burning it up in 4 blue LEDs that seem to stay on continuously. The physical construction is dreadful - everything inside is held together with sticky tape and foam pads. Even the circuitry on the PCB is nothing special. It's a waste of money - don't buy it.

Put a 15 buck harbor freight solar panel solder it to it see how it performs.

    Close to 5 amps maybe.

How would the 30 Amp fit in the case. Even if it did solar would take a long time to charge.

non dovete stupirvi del numero di ampere, lo fanno in tanti, se mettete 5 18650 in parallelo avrete un ottimo power bank e volendo potete installare 2 batterie ai polimeri da 5 ah. Non date ascolto a cazzate per fare clic.

I have 2 of these. They are good for lighting only. Put a cell in and discard the solar panel and use as a light. Long press small button light comes on. press it again and it dims. Press it again and it flashes SOS. Good Camping lights.

why not first time solar charger plug in home current!?

First thing i had in mind is thinking i saw the 4 leds cause i have an simple idea not just the draw but the current they can put out i really question wtf was that suposed to be like damn whoever build that didnt really think about that like on solar mode you would kinda wanna stealth the light also what if you plug something at least in the 1a plug so you dont ablidurate the battery advertised as 30k i dont trust that even tough fitting some batterys together or getting one big custom cell aint that hard ill never trust such supplier for my pocket safety or hand safety with an item like that tho its kinda good but not really tho but one thing you can do is make a panel to seal the unit where the sun panel is one usefull thing you can use it for is hook it up somewhere to some decent peace you gonna see daily you might be able to build a triple phone polymer replacement for those 2 if you go with any 3k mah or 3.2k mah samsung battery you gonna get nearly 10000 mah in total and if im at your place ill remove the first 3 leds so the thing can charge till it stable then it might actually not get such a defrence from 1 led even tho it pulls quite some the draw would not be nice and i know its weak but adding to the flashlight part if you close the case using metal panel you can always add 3w led that comes with a heatsink you can always solder it on tho even

Good review I have two renagy 24000mah porteble solar chargers and it says they can only be fully charged by plugging them into 120ac I used one all last summer at my cabbin using only the sun to charge my cell phone and worked well

That is the cheapest one I have seen so far… The one I got is way better!

to many reveiws of this type of item are carried out by people who don't know anything about microelectronics, they unpack then charge a phone and say its great, what these can actually hold is down to the storage cells used and charging by sunlight using these old photovoltaic cells will be low and slow, not having smart technology in the circuitry will possibly make them dangerous, no over charge cut out could make the cells explode, all be it slowly. but could cause a fire. just what you don't need in your tent at night after walking in the sun all day !

Charge in direct sunlight only.. when the sun cant be seen by it, turn it over to stop all light getting to solar panel. You will have to track sun manually, but the panel seems ok..
If the batteries or battery inside are bloody used 18650, remove and replace them.. lithium packs or 18650 batteries are fine I found. Packs perhaps a better option . When it has finally charged , the 4th led stops flashing, and all lights stay on.. Its then fully charged.

It would take several years to charge with that solar panel in the UK climate lol

Thank you for saying the truth about these useless solar power banks . Most are just rubbish .
