Hi. Can you tell how to avoid third wire from lawnmover battery controller, that going in third battery contact. On circuit board it is COM. My battery dead( qualcast 36v) but different battery not accepting, as there 3 pins from lawnmover connector. I think it should give some information to controller, like some resistance to positive or negative terminal. But not sure. Any ideas?
This appears to be the same design (different cells) of the qualcast mower battery I've just revived. I've used my hobby charger in 1S liIo charger mode to bring half the cells back above from around 2.6v back up to 3.4v. I don't have the official charger though should I be able to connect a generic a 2A 36v-42v lithium charger to the P+ and the CH- pins and charge this using the packs BMS for balancing and bringg all the cells up to full charger 4.2v.

So more than a year later is the battery still OK
Those cells have very little capacity compared to laptop cells
Interesting video… But is nobody going to mention how terrible that lawn is even after being mowed?
