A look inside the Aukey Apollo SK-A1 Bluetooth speaker. This small unit kicks out a lot of bass and has passive membranes left and right to enhance the low frequency response.

You're not helping me skipping through the videos don't do that redo this video please
The circuitry on the right looks like buck converter for charging the Li-ion. The IC on the right would be the SMPS controller of the buck. The headphone amp must be connected after nuvoTon with a DAC in between. This is because Bluetooth module and nuvoTon handle digital signal and headphone amplifier, well, amplifies analog signals. The nuvoTon's datasheet mentions that it has DACs built in to generate analog output. This is probably what's happening here:
Bluetooth module recieves digital file, sends it to nuvoTon which performs DSP and converts it to a pair of analog signals (stereo pair). These two analog signals are then preamplified by headphone amp (which is 2-channel, AB class) and then amplified to final voltage by the pair of power amplifiers.
Hey Julian,
I have this exact same speaker, however mine has developed an interesting fault and I was wondering whether you might have some insight into what it is. I am pretty sure one of the power amps has failed, since one speaker behaves fine, the other however just makes a soft clicking sound. I've opened the speaker up and confirmed it's not a speaker fault, and the power amp chip in question does look slightly melted.
If it was the power-amp, any guessed for replacement parts? I know I'm asking a tough question!
Nice video! ;)Oh…ILLUMINATI CONFIRMED xD
really you did very hard work
finally i find perfect video thans the
soundbot have an exact same speaker which is SB520 and Ive seen some otrer brand selling this same looking speaker.. interesting..
Passive radiator.
Celestion used to use them.
Impressive how little the actual speaker moves compared to the passive radiator.
