The 30 Watt LED garden solar light still works! It comes on at twilight and only stays on for about 20 minutes.

i imagine it would last a fair bit longer only running at 10 watts vs the 30 or so. some light is better than no light 🙂

Hi Julian have you ever thought of experimenting with wind power over the winter to keep you battery banks topped up?

Any kind of decent wind and your large solar panel stand is going to go flying, unless it's anchored to the ground.

Just curious, how is it that your regulator board and the solar charger unit continue to function exposed to the elements like that? I know they're somewhat protected by the solar panel, but a windy rainy day would blow water all over the electronics. Would there be any advantage to wrapping them in a zip-lock bag or something?

Also, I remember in one of your previous videos you mentioned you were going to make a super bright LED light…a 10 x 100 watt (1000 watt) monster light. Is that still in the works? I'd love to see what and how you do that one.

Is the lead acid battery sitting on the ground…I have always been told it's not good to leave a lead acid battery on the ground due to capacitive leakage. Might build a small stand to hold it off the ground
Still a cool build and still running…very cool!

+Julian Ilett Where is your full size panel. I've mounted my 3 full size panels using (4)3 and a bit metal shelving rack for about £40 from an eBay seller

Why not make it a lithium ion system?
