with your windups could you use a super Cap inline to make the gens Content current.?

You could replace all your solar panels with this one FreeCharge winding device. Just think – building a not too high mast, attaching a propeller to it and connecting at the end that freechare device – wouldnt be this beautiful, free energy, wind turbine?

"It's actually quite hard work, keeping up a constant ten Watts."

I want to make a flashlight metro 2033 style, and i want to know that the wind up charges a battery or a capacitor?, in the game for a seconds of charge you get something like 10min of light

That rubbery finish is usually a transparent layer applied on top of any printing, so removing it is OK with a solvent that doesn't attack the base layer or printing. I did an MP3 player recently using isopropanol, which did the job but took some time. Stripped it, left the case to soak for a day or so, then rubbed the finish off with a cloth. But it really needs something a little stronger – ethanol in the form of surgical spirit is next on the list.

Wouldn't those cheap wind up things store their energy in a capacitor rather than a battery? That would explain why they go flat so quickly.

Great video. Does anyone use jump starters these days ? I was trying to remember the last time I had a flat battery, it has to be 20 years ago.
