hey Julian thanks for the review on this charger, i bought one thanks to you. My unit actually has a double press current/left button. if you press the button harder it double clicks and the li 3.7 indicator flashes but I'm non the wiser.

It sounds like you're suggesting to daisy chain multiple units in series? That's a bad idea if you are. Different amp hour batteries would cause issues. But I've put four of them in parallel and it works great. I use a 5.5mm x 2.1mm four way splitter. My power bank outputs 12V 8A, so I drive a few of these in parallel once the power bank has been fully charged by my solar panel. Only negative is that the BTC100 pulls enough current for its display after the battery is charged that my AntiGravity battery pack stays on, which could drain my big power back. Nice in that I get to see the MAH even if I'm not there when the battery finishes charging. I'll just have to make sure I don't leave the battery in over night when out on a camping trip. There seems to be numerous concerns with this charger on BLF forum. Can you check the discharge voltage reading and compare it to your voltmeter please?
I have been collecting document packs and info on electronics and Ham radio things. Among those I located an obscure file called HOT IRON. It is software of sorts with photos and articles on how to build electronic projects and such. Many hints seem to be echoed in your videos. I know it could well be coincidence but I thought maybe the name would bring back some memories of old. The makers of the software are from your neck of the woods.
Hi Julian. Could you do a video about refurbishing old Ni-Mh and Ni-Cd batteries? I know that there are lots of videos out there about this showing people shorting out the connections or putting double the voltage through the cells but I would love to know what you think… Obviously, I'm sure you would say just get eneloops but I seem to have accumulated quite a few rechargeable AA/AAA batteries that my cheap battery charger won't recognize/charge but I can't pluck up the courage to just throw them in the recycling. Maybe even show whether the refreshing function on this charger even works? Love the videos, anyway. Keep up the terrific work. 🙂
