What about using heavy duty wire like that used for house wiring.
When I saw your vid on the little 220v DC – AC inverter I thought you were going to use it to distribute your batteries charge as an AC supply. It would be more efficient.
I had my second battery system charging from my main system, with thin wires, didnt check them for a month and i lost 7 of my 2volt cells. I wouldn;t do that Julian. Just my 2 bobs worth. Cheers
As well as the resistance of the cables the voltage difference is small between two sets of fairly well charged batteries
Hi Julian, not sure if you're aware but those 'standoffs' are actually heat set inserts (great btw) you use a soldering iron to push them into a slightly tight hole in plastic and they melt in and bind very well when they cool ( instantly) and let you add a decent thread to the plastic
What are the lowest temperatures you hold the batteries ?
Why dont you measure if there is any current coming in to these batteries?
Whats the total current output of the battery bank?
All cables connected to the batteries should be able to handle the max output +some extra incase of a fault.
It should also be fused!
They're not standoffs, they are threaded inserts for plastics.
“Temporary” is definitely a feature of this channel.. 😉
Anyone else get the willies watching him work, one handed, without protection, with amperages that are… er… ah… heart stopping?
